Graphic Design 101 is designed to introduce high school and middle school students to the fundamental concepts and skills necessary for creating visually appealing and impactful designs. Through a combination of hands-on projects, creative exploration, and digital tools, students will be given challenging real world projects and assignments typical of the graphic design industry. Students will also be asked to do a final "branding" project where they will create their own brand, logo and campaign.
Much like Film School 4 Teens other courses, Graphic Design 101 will have short video lessons by a professional graphic designer. Each week they will also be given hands on assignments teaching the concepts they have learned with each lesson. After your student gives the assignment a try, they will go back and watch a student workshop. This is where students will watch other middle and high school students go over their own assignments (the same one your student just completed). Our teacher then walks through this assignment with them, which is an effective way for students to learn and grade their own work.
